We tried the Sand Pool on Ft. Eustis base for the first time with Mimi. The boys loved swimming and Lauren tried to be as big as them. She just wanted me to let her go and didn't mind when she would go all the way under the water. She seems to have no fear which scares mommy a bit. She even tried the slide that the boys did and loved it too! The boys wanted Mimi to throw them into the water but Caleb is getting a little to big to be thrown in. Mimi still accomplished it though!! We love you Mimi!!

I lived in Fort Eustis as a kid in the early 60's. I remember the sand pool but have no pictures of it. Thanks for posting--very nostalgic.
