Glory to God in the Highest

Thanks to our friend Mitchell, who blessed us with some tickets to the "Glory to God in the Highest" concert. We also got to meet & greet Chris Tomlin, Christie Nockels (Watermark) and Louie Giglio. It was such a fun night!! It was a great way to start the Christmas season!!

Our family and Chris Tomlin. The greatest song writer!! So many of the worship songs we sing are written by him.

Us and Christie Nockels (Watermark), she one of the most amazing voices. I love her music. She was a great compliment to Chris.

Louie Giglio preached a great message and read Luke 2, the story of our Savior Jesus born to save us!! The greatest gift ever!!

Casemate Museum Field trip

Fort Monore, Casemate Museum. The inside that we toured of the Museum is right behind the kids in this picture. Where the stairs are, in the right of this picture, is how you get to the top of the Fort shown in the picture on the bottom.

The inside of the Museum, where the civil war was fought. The inside of this Museum also housed families during the civil war. It was very cool to tour.

You can't see but behind the kids was one of the cannons that they used, it was huge!!

This is the view from the top of the Fort!!

Josh's 9th Birthday

Josh wanted cupcakes and I love making these in cones!!

He invited only a few friends, Aaron, Zack, Jesse and Logan. We took them bowling and then they had a sleepover.

They all decorated their own cupcake and wanted seconds.

Lauren just ate the icing, but can you blame her??

They were wiped out and I think also crashed after all the sugar intake!!

I can't believe it's been 9 years already since my second sweet boy was born. He was born a month early by emergency c-section a week before Thanksgiving. He was transferred to a neo-natal hospital the same day he was born and it was so hard to be away from my new baby. He stayed in the neo-natal hospital for a week and was released "Thanksgiving Day", greeted by his Aunt's, Christy and Sarah. Since I ended up in the ER that morning I couldn't go get him. We were so thankful to the Lord for the gift on Thanksgiving, that we were able to bring our sweet new baby home. He's been through a lot since he was born which has just made him stronger. Josh, I am so thankful that God has made you into a sweet, giving, thoughtful and helpful young boy. Josh we love you so much and praise God for giving you to us!! I pray through the years that God will continue to give you a Passion for His Name and your life will give Him Glory!! Happy Birthday!!

And it rained for 4 days and 4 nights...

Thankfully isn't wasn't anywhere near the 40 days and 40 nights it rained in Noah's day, but it sure felt like it at times. (But yet I have no idea what that really felt like)! This is our backyard during the Nor'easter at high tide. Yes, it came right up to our house, but it's only a miracle from God that it didn't get into our garage or under our foundation. It was almost up to Shaun's waist near the back fence. No damage but a whole lot of clean up, (all of our wood floating made a huge mess)!!

Lauren's Ballet Class

It's been so sweet to watch Lauren take ballet. She has her father's rhythm though, so I hope this can help her improve in that area. The boys have also enjoyed watching their sister and they think she is so cute!! Her teacher's name is Miss Ahna and she is a homeschooled girl who does this on the side. She is so sweet and awesome with the girls. Lauren has also made a "new" best friend Savannah and every week they greet each other with the biggest hugs. This time has been so precious since we are always watching her brothers do sports and now we get to watch her do some fun "girl" stuff as well.

Random Pictures from September thru October

This was our Pumpkin Patch field trip with our homeschooling group. We went with our friends, Robin and her children, Aaron, Zack and Leigha. They also go to our church and our kids use to go to Christian School together. They are great friends. They are now homeschooling this year as well. Yeah!!

Lauren & Leigha.

Zack & Caleb.

I also got to spend some great time visiting with an old neighbor and friend Crystal, who came to visit us for the week. The kids adored her and were so sad to see her leave and so was I.

Josh & Aaron in the patch trying to pick the coolest pumpkin!

Here were our selections. Lauren really didn't care for walking through the patch. She kept crying because her sandals were falling off and the growing weeds were causing her to fall as well. She is such a girl!!

A random picture of Lauren with Toby. Her baby and playmate while Mommy is homeschooling.

Another random picture of Josh and his select soccer team called "Virginia Rush" making a funny poise for the camera.

This was our first field trip in the beginning of September with our homeschool group. By mistake because a fire alarm was pulled (not by mine, thankfully), we ended up being able to have a tour of a new fire truck. It was really cool and the kids loved it.

September has come and gone...

Lauren loves to be mother "hen". She loved mothering Abby!! Forgive me, it's been a long time since I've blogged. It's so hard keeping up with posts let alone my scrapbooking, facebook and so on... Yes, I am addicted to facebook, I love keeping up with friends and family. But I know how important it is to blog to keep up with my family's happenings. It is now the middle of October and September has come and gone. I always say how crazy it is that time flies, it seems to fly faster each day!! Sarah and her three kids came down to visit with us in the beginning of September and to see my Dad's team play their championship game. It was a fun visit and always hard to say goodbye!!

Josh holding Abby, (he has a thing for his cousin)!! He is always commenting on how "cute" she is, and so tiny! And notice how Lauren has to be sitting next to Will as well.

My beautiful sister and her newest little one Nate!

Love this picture!! They are climbing in, under and through this cool maze at Fort Fun park.

Of course, even though Caleb is getting older he loves playing with the little ones. He is so entertaining and good with them as is Josh!!

I loved this wrap-thing my sister was sporting Nate in, how things change in just a few years. They always come out with these great ideas after I have children!

Lauren loved that she could jump up and hang from the rings there.

Will and Lauren having a blast. They did this forever!!

Sweet cousins!!

This was taken on Sunday after a long service thanks to Shaun, just kidding!! My Dad was exhausted from his whirlwind weekend and the season winding down. It didn't help that his team lost but still played so well!! Poppy was reading to Lauren and fell asleep or she was reading to him, I'm not sure. Thought this was too cute. Got to love Poppy spending time with his grandkids even while he is sleeping!!
